So instead of taking a boring part-time job and grinding until work I liked picks up, I expanded my search criteria and found some tow trucks. I like trucks. I like fixing things. I like helping people.
And it works. My schedule has been dropped completely on its head, to the point that I'm awake at 9am on a saturday when I barely saw 9am on a *Weekday* during the school year. I'm productive now. The best part about it is really that I don't dread the coming days. I had come to the point of hating school and the work so much that I wasn't going to sleep because if I did, I was surrendering and I would have to wake up and deal with the BS of the coming day. Day after day. But that feeling is gone. When I'm tired, I go to sleep now. Some nights its at 10:30 at night. It's sort of incredible.
Of course, what this means in the world of art, for now, is that things are on a sort of extended haitus but also that I'm starting to get introduced to car culture. This sort of thing might start to show up, now. Or, maybe, in the near future I'll get that steel shop working and start to make new pretties again.
